My first reaction was ‘WTF.’ Without bias, I read your description Ian, and I understood that this photo was unique and requires a skilled photographer to pull it off, even with some luck, fantastic POD. I do agree with most other Pink Bike users that decided to post their opinion. Taking into account the age group of Pink bike users 12-18? I do see why more of a basic "wow that’s a huge jump, or, scary drop" picture would make these users happy. Unfortunately, some users don't appreciate, through lack of photography education, the privilege of getting great photos from some of the best photographers in the world. So, thank you Ian for ignoring most of us who wish to leave our ignorant comments.
I think the folks at: fredmiranda.com, for example, would be of a higher class photo critique in its users, and would love to see this photo. Thanks for bringing Pink bike up to par, providing a different view, rather than just the basic big air (see is what you get) photos.
Thanks Ian!
how old are those photos lol
pedalbitesucks, leave yur mom and sisters out of this.
woot, for cheap mexican labour!
Happy April Fools!
I hate this pic because it made me look like an idiot, but it's still a cool shot and is clean. There used to be a time when photographers had to take photos that were untouched and a certain size (aka magazine submissions) to be eligable to get paid for the shot. Now adays you can submit your moms dirty faceshot with 200 layers of photoshop edits and have everyone think the old lady is marilyn monroe. The photo does look like frost on the trees and light snow on the rock where the biker launches his ride. Camera now adays, beatiful photos with the right photographer. About Us
